I got to the center around 8:20 and was called to the back five minutes later. The nurse was incredibly sweet and talked me through my IV (I HATE needles)She even managed to stop me from shaking so hard. Then the anesthesiologist came and saved the day by giving me some drugs that mellowed me out. High as a kite~
Before I knew it, it was 9:00 and they were walking me into the surgery room. And then I was waking up!
So, it wasn't as bad as I thought it was. Now I'm sleepy and ready to just sleep the next few days away.
See y'all soon
Edit:
Last night was rough.
I thought everything was all fine and dandy, but come 11, I'm throwing up real bad. We're still unsure of why, but it stopped after a few minutes.
Woke up today and am in a lot more pain. The painkillers burn as they go down, and its been very hard to eat or drink anything. At least I'm still sleeping most of the day so its not as bad as it could be. Supposedly one more bad day, and then its going to get better from there.
Plus side, I'm not snoring anywhere near as bad as I used to, and I'm getting a much deeper sleep because of it. And Mom and Dad are being very doting and sweet. Its nice to be able to just sit back and sleep all day, and not be fussed at. Even though they went and got amazing smelling pizza for dinner, and I'm stuck eating Slimfast and pudding.
Edit:
It's day 4. Nothing much happened yesterday. My aunt and cousin came in to visit so I struggled to stay awake to see them and watch a movie. Other than that, didn't really do much of anything.
OH I ATE SOLID FOOD! (Personal victory)
Today, when my aunt and cousin left, we went to Atlanta Bread Company for some breakfast. That was NOT fun. The car ride made me a bit sick. We got home and the medical center called and said I've got about 2 more days of sore throat and then it'll go away for a few. So I'm pretty stoked about that. They said some pain will come back once the scabs from the surgery start to come off. But its not supposed to be as bad as it is now.
That gives me hope.
So, its back to lots of sleeping and drinking water. Hopefully, I'll be functioning perfectly in the next couple days.
Thanks for putting up with me through this all. Its the first surgery I can remember, so Imma be a bit silly about it. Love you all <3

thaaaaanks.
